"Mice On Ice"
classes are not planned for the Fall 2009 session.
Please see "Snow Plow Sam" classes offered on Monday
evenings.
This is a
delightful 60 minutes of FUN for children ages 3 - 5 yrs.
Each class is a skating party !
Class is taught
by Christian Verzaal & Karen Butler.
Miss Christian & Miss Karen place an emphasis on becoming
familiar with the ice and skating development in a
relaxed and safe environment.
The
children spend time on the ice learning how to stand, march,
fall-down, get up on their own. But, most of all the kids
have FUN !
Additionally, they progress to learning the basics of
skating. Class time also includes time for socialization,
crafts and a snack.
The class generally spend 30 minutes on the ice and 30
minutes off the ice.
This class supports the goals of parents and skaters who
want to move on to Hockey, Figure Skating or safe
Recreational Skating ! "Mice on Ice" is the first step to skating well. There is
no substitute for a great beginning.
Program
Includes:
Single blade
ice skates are provided (No Hockey Skates for this class
PLEASE).
Remember
to bring mittens or gloves
If you
have a helmet, please bring it along for your child
Students
will stand on the ice on their own and will not be held
(please be patient). We have had a great deal of success
by example and peer grouping
